In some mythologies, lobsters are considered sacred and are said to bring good luck, luck and prosperity. In Greek mythology, lobsters were associated with the goddess Aphrodite, the goddess of love and beauty. The river god Acheloos is also said to have worn a mask with lobster claws and feelers.
